Scouts

Scouts are boys or girls, usually aged between 10½ and 14 years, who take part in activities that are a combination of gaining new skills and having fun.

Being outdoors is important and Scouts learn traditional Scouting skills, including camping, pioneering and cooking as well enjoying a wide range of adventurous activities such as climbing, abseiling, canoeing, hiking and sailing.

They explore their local community, take part in conservation tasks and investigate global issues and Scouting in other countries.

Scouts have the chance to make new friends, to show responsibility and initiative, to plan their own activities, to help others and to work as a team.

We do not currently have a Scout Troop, however, we are looking at reopening ours in the near future. If you have a child interested in Scouting, or would like to volunteer to support our Scout Troop, please contact us.
